Another Way You Can Use Articles To Earn

So you’ve got your Easy Blog Package and want another way to use the PLR articles, well here’s a quick and easy way to make the most out of them and potentially build a huge passive income that after the initial setup you never have to touch again.

You can use the articles found within the Easy Blog Packages to set up your own Article Directory. It can either be a very general directory covering all sorts of topics or ‘specially if you have your own hosting it can be niche related (you can have a directory of each Easy Blog Package niche if you wanted to)

Here’s a quick guide on how to do it.

First if  you don’t have your own domain and hosting I urge you to consider it (you can do so much more) take a look here for some good deals on hosting

To set up your very own article directory you’ll first need to create a new domain (or sub-domain) you can make it niche related if you want or you can leave it as a fairly general article directory. Some examples of niche article directories can be found here http://articlesnguides.net

From there set up your blog the same way you have in the past (See Training 5/6How To Set Up A WordPress Blog if you’re not sure how or follow the guide in the Easy Blog Packages)

Once you’ve done that download the Free Article directoy plugin from here: Article Directory Plugin

You can also download the Free Article Directory Theme From here Article Directory Theme

I’m not going to go into great detail here on how to use this as one it’s pretty self-explanatory and two you can get help from the plugin page if required. The only thing I will suggest is going here http://www.lordtime.com/blog/2008/07/01/post-corrector-wordpress-plugin-update/ another free plugin which enables you to add article directory categories at once rather than one at a time (of course that’s more for a general directory if it’s a niche related article directory you probably won’t need it)

You can now add as many of those free plr articles as you want (re-written as many times as you want) you can also have others submit articles to your directory. This benefits both the contributor (as they are building links back to their own sites) and you as the creator as you can monetise your directory however you want (and with the addition with an extra plugin you can even make it a revenue sharing site)

Once yo u have a few articles up – monetise it however you want (adsense, affiliate products etc) then promote it in the same ways you’ve used before.

If you’re interested in setting it up as a revenue sharing site then this plugin is what you’re after. Author Advertising Plugin

How Do You Write A Well Written Blog Post? Discover My Top Three Tips

The first action to consider is what is your blog going to be about? Once you have cracked the niche market for your blog, you then need to come up with ways on how to captivate your readers and keep them coming back, and gain even more visitors. Sounds easy, right? Well it’s not rocket science, by following a simple strategy you can ensure that you have a well written blog post that is informative to the reader.

  1. Be Truthful. You may think this is obvious, but we all read articles in the papers or online that we know are just plain rubbish and untrue. You need to double-check your blog posts for accuracy before posting them live. This the same process that any other publisher or newspaper will do. You can include opinions, of course but you must make your post clear so that it is your opinion showing and not a fact.
  2. Relevance. With a blog you need to be very transparent, bloggers are very proud of the community and do not wish to be reading a post that they think will be relevant to a subject that they are interested in, only to find it go off on a tangent. Make sure posts stay on topic, give your readers a chance to interact with your comments to create a buzz around the conversation.
  3. Keep it informative. Let’s face it, I am going to be honest and say that a lot of blogs out there are boring. You may find it is full of information, but if your reader does not find it interesting to read then wont have many sticking around. Write posts that educate the reader, but make them light-hearted, even a bit of humour, focus on information and news that is useful to those reading it.

I would also recommend use keywords in your blog posts. By using popular keywords for your blog, you will entice readers from search engines straight to your blog. Use your knowledge of your niche to find out about what people who are interested in that niche are searching for, and then include those keywords in your posts.

As I said it isn’t hard, and once you get the hang of it all of this will become second nature. It may come easier to some than others, but if you wish to be successful at blogging, then you need to make sure that your posts are good for the masses.

How To Get Visitors To Your Website Or Blog For Free

You have just spent weeks or maybe even months building what you consider to the one of the coolest websites or blogs the internet has ever seen only to discover that no one is coming to see your masterpiece? or perhaps you’ve just spent more money than you could really afford on advertising only to find that it’s not made all that much difference? If that sounds like you here’s a few tips that can help bring the visitors to you, and best of all, they won’t cost a cent.

Forums: Get involved in forums that are related to the chosen subject of your website or blog and add a link to your site in your signature. Not only does this help create links back to your site but you will soon become recognised within your chosen field and people will build their trust in you.

Directories: There are hundreds of free directory sites on the internet both for your websites and your blog’s rss feed, make sure you submit your urls (or feed) to them. In fact there are even software programs out there that will help you to do it.

Word Of Mouth: Spread the word offline about your site, add your url to your business card etc.

Articles: Write an article relating to the topic of your site and submit it to the free article sites and add the link to your site in the resource box or in your biography.

These are just a few ways you can try to get traffic to your site for free. Of course one of the best things to do is to have good quality content that is updated regularly so people want to keep coming back and are happy to tell their friends about your site(s). Remember though it won’t happen overnight, it takes time to build interest in a webpage or blog, but once you have it with each passing day you’ll start to notice more and more visitors.

Paid Versus Free Hosting

For those just starting out in the world of online marketing it’s often a time where things need to be done as cheaply as possible. One of the areas where we try to cut expenses is through web hosting. With so many free web host providers available to us many often wonder why people would bother paying for web hosting.

There are no doubt pros and cons to both sides and as someone who has (and to a certain extent still does) used both free and paid hosting I thought I’d share some of what I have learnt in the hopes that it will help others out there make their decision.

Naturally the biggest advantage of free hosting is that the money you save can be used toward another part of your online business. And with the large amount of free providers available you are bound to find one the suits your needs, whether it’s the amount of bandwidth you need, the add-ons they may have: the ability to add forums or blogs, or the amount of sub domains you can have.

Though with all the pros of using a free host come several rather large cons. First and foremost to me is the lack of total control you have. Having recently experienced a major problem with one of the free hosts I used I quickly came to realise that if anything goes wrong you can be very limited in your options to fixing those problems. Another downfall may arise when your site starts building a lot of traffic – which will be what you’re aiming for – you and your visitors may lose access to your site for a certain period if you exceed the limit available to you. Then of course you may also find yourself limited in what type of advertising you can do: while not all free providers have advertising many may place certain ads, banners or even pop-ups on your site as a way of paying for the service they are supplying. This may not be a problem for personal web-pages but if it’s a business site you may quickly lose any credibility as it often lacks professionalism.

If you decide you want to start out with a free host make sure you read and understand all that is involved and any requirements/limits they may have before signing up. There is nothing worse than setting up a great page and building traffic to it only to find that in the long run you need to change providers.

When it comes to paid hosting the biggest con naturally is the expense, for many just starting out they can’t justify the expense as they are yet to see any return. As someone who has been in this position I well understand that reasoning, yet will honestly admit that once I took the plunge and decided to pay for my hosting it was the best decision I ever made.

With the competition being what it is, a little time spent researching will quickly reveal that you can get good hosting at incredibly reasonable prices. Paying for your hosting not only gives you total control over all aspects of your website, with a good provider you’ll not only find a lot of additional extras, things like cron jobs, unlimited mysql databases plus things like fantastico (one click installation of blogs and forums etc) and email management systems you will also discover that you can get often get unlimited domains and aren’t restricted by bandwidth limits etc.

If you’re just starting out with your online business I would urge you to at least look at finding a paid hosting provider so you can start off on the right foot straight away, but if you decide you can’t justify the expense, perhaps plan on a small site on a free host so you don’t have too much difficulty when you decide to upgrade to paid hosting.

Get Readers To Your Blog And Keep Them Coming Back For More

Whether you have a business blog or a personal one you no doubt want as many people to view it and hopefully interact with it, and you, as possible. There are a few key things to remember when both initially creating your blog and then promoting it to others.

While in the beginning blogs were created more for personal use, as the internet and businesses develop more and more companies are using blogs to help promote their business, but the foundations remain the same:

First and foremost keep your readers in mind; even if you have a blog that is full of nothing more than your personal rants, if you want people to keep coming back you need to make it easy to read and understand. Remember that in this day and age people using the internet will often spend a lot of time just skimming over pages so you need to capture and then keep their interest, the best way to do this is to keep your writing clear and concise, while it doesn’t need to be grammatically perfect (at least for a personal blog) it should at least make sense.

Try to provide useful and relevant information for your readers, no matter what subject your blog is about if you can give the viewers the information they want or find helpful they will keep coming back for more.

You don’t need to use every technical gadget you come across on your blog; while they all have their individual places a business blog for example may lose some of its professionalism if the readers are subjected to heavy metal music the minute they open the page.

Make your blog as interactive as possible; give your readers the chance to leave comments or feedback, the more reason you can give them to interact with you the more often they will come back; on that note you can also give your viewers the chance to subscribe to your blog so they receive emails when your blog has been updated etc.

Finally, where possible, keep your individual posts in related categories etc. that makes it a lot easier for first time and casual readers to find what it is they may be looking for.

Remember though, whether it’s business or personal, blogs can be great fun and a great way to express your thoughts, get your creative juices flowing or promote your online or offline work.
